If you have a fast enough computer (faster than 300 mhz) and a good enough video card (128 bit or better), with the latest video drivers installed, then you shouldn't have problems with chomper.
My advice, go ahead and install it from your 3.13 software release CD, and see if it works. You can test it out without buying it. If it works okay in demo mode, then you can buy it later.

The specific video card recomended by the software writers is the ATI xpert 2000 128 bit. But, a warning about this card, there is a 16 meg, and a 32 meg version. If you are running the old dos games, then the 32 meg version will not run spectral, it's just too big for spectral to figure out what's going on. So, you need the 16 meg version if you are running dos games. However, if you have the new Basic Game Set, which is the fully windows version of the games, than that will support spectral on pretty much any video card you can find, so the 32 meg card will work with BGS but not with the old dos games.

If Chomper does not work for you on XP, you can call Neurocybernetics and order a beta upgrade (at least for now) for free. The game is a little bit different but it's still Chomper. Melissa

Spectrum has a download on the EEGER website that fixes the Chomper/XP problem, so if anyone else asks, tell them to check that out. Thanks,

Lisa asked on the list server about turning on the music. The keys for making adjustments in chomper are listed above. Also, one more idea. If you are not hearing music, make sure to go to the setup under (start / programs / wayforward / setup) and run the setup, and turn the music and sound effects volumes up. Kurt
