I was very amused by the name choice for the latest update for the brainmaster. It's called 2.0 Second Edition. But, getting a laugh at the expense of Windows 98 "Second Edition" was apparently not the point of this name choice. Brainmaster just wanted to emphasize that the new 2.0SE release, is a FREE update to the 2.0 software.

And 2.0 is a MUST HAVE!!! If you are using an old 1.9 or 1.8 brainmaster, you don't know what you are missing!

I'm an adult recently re-diagnosed with ADD, and as I can't afford the price of professional biofeedback help, have no insurance, and am basically broke becuse I'm a college student, I though I'd do-it-myself. I'm interested in the brainmaster units, and I'd like a used one if that would work. A fellow was selling a version 1.8, but I didn't get to buy it, deal fell through. But would I be able to upgrade to 2.0 from 1.8? And at what cost? (And do you have anything to tell me about doing it myself? Is the brainmaster a good choice?)

1. Doing neurofeedback on yourself without the help of a clinician is a very bad idea!
2. The brainmaster, and other Neurofeedback systems are only available for purchase through a clinician.
3. Yes brainmaster is an excellent system for home use, but you need to start with a clinician, and get your brainmaster through a clinician, and work with a clinician after purchase.
